Not with a Bang but a Whimper: Are we undermining the future of financial services in Britain?

Not with a Bang but a Whimper finds that the UK’s financial services industry is in danger of fading away. The report reveals that almost a quarter of financial institutions have considered leaving Britain for more welcoming locations like the Channel Islands or Switzerland.

Three-quarters of the London-based financial institutions polled by YouGov for Policy Exchange blamed the overall tax burden as a reason for their possible departure, while two-thirds blamed increasing regulation as a significant reason.
