Hannah Stuart — Policy Exchange’s Co-Head of Security and Extremism — responds to new figures which suggest counter-terror agencies have registered a 600% surge in tip-offs after the recent attacks in Manchester and London. She says:
“It was not surprising that rises in the number of calls correspond to recent terrorist attacks. Unprecedented numbers of individuals of concern to the security services in the UK right now means the task of identifying serious leads is a real challenge.”
