Tim Clark
Tim Clark is a Senior Fellow at Policy Exchange and has been a headteacher for eighteen years. He was Headmaster of Spalding High School in Lincolnshire, which he led from “good” to “outstanding”, before becoming Principal of Skinner’s Academy in Hackney, sited on one of the largest council estates in the country. The Academy was blighted by appalling pupil behaviour, very low standards and staff morale, and falling rolls; Clark successfully “transformed” it (Ofsted, 2017) and left it last year as an oversubscribed school of choice boasting excellent pupil behaviour and staff morale, and GCSE results consistently above national average. Clark is now an independent education consultant and trainer.
