Why women and girls matter in amateur sport

December 29, 2023

A new paper published today by Policy Exchange – backed by two Olympians and one former world no 1 tennis player – exposes how women and girls in amateur sport are being denied fair and safe competition due to authorities adopting gender ideology.

Supplemented by eye-witness accounts, Policy Exchange has carried out a comprehensive analysis of sporting records at club, county and other amateur and grassroot levels, to systematically document the physical advantage in sports that biological males possess over women and girls. Alongside a detailed review of existing evidence, the report demonstrates the fundamental incompatibility of fair and safe competition between men and women within both grassroots, amateur and elite sport.
