Will Heaven, Managing Editor of The Spectator, will join Policy Exchange as Director of Policy later this summer. He will play a leading role in our domestic research programme, notably on two of our new work streams – Place and Prosperity.
Before joining The Spectator in 2016, Will was a speechwriter for Michael Gove and Liz Truss at the Ministry of Justice, and previously worked for six years at The Telegraph, including as Comment Editor of The Sunday Telegraph.
He said: “This is a very exciting time to be joining Britain’s leading think tank. There is an urgent need for intellectual renewal on the centre-right and Policy Exchange, with its track record of turning political thinking into policy achievements, will be at the heart of that renewal. I very much look forward to starting.”
