Labour wants schools to be local

“Jonathan Simons, head of education at the right-leaning think tank Policy Exchange, said there were legitimate questions about the current system but “blanket decisions that the answer is local ‘democratic’ control, and to make such a decision in spite of where the expertise within a school led system will lie [in the future], would be perverse”.”
