Davies’ project about more than runways

Tomorrow Howard Davies will announce his preliminary findings on the future of British aviation. Understandably, much of the media attention will be on runways – how many there should be, and where they should be located. Policy Exchange offered our proposal last year, and welcomes the serious consideration Davies appears to be giving to the notion of a 4-runway Heathrow.

However, as the title of our report, Bigger and Quieter, makes clear, other environmental issues must be taken into account and responded to in any new approach for aviation…
