Leyton Wells is a Research Fellow in Space Policy at Policy Exchange, joining the Space Policy Unit in February 2021. He has a background in Science Technology Studies, holding a BSc in History and Philosophy of Science from University College London (UCL), specialising his studies into science and innovation policy and completing a final dissertation on ‘Responsible Research and Innovation in the Space Sector’. In his career since, Leyton has held positions at the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI), a think-tank in Vienna, as a Research Intern where he contributed to key reports and publications on space policy topics, and at the Institute of Physics (IOP), a professional membership body in London, as a Coordinator for both the International and Policy departments. Beyond space, Leyton has a broad interest in science and technology topics, with a special interest in emerging technologies.
